Providing new homes

We believe good homes make everything possible and are committed to providing people with a range of affordable homes for rent and sale. We manage and build homes across London, Hertfordshire and the South East.

As a charitable housing association, a big part of our mission is to help solve the housing crisis by building the homes our country so desperately needs. We’re planning on building over 2,800 new homes between 2020-2023. During the year we started 590 new homes and completed 302 homes which were all for affordable tenures. We now own and/or manage 20,849 homes.

Ridgeway Estate, Sele Farm in Hertford

In 2019, we completed a £34 million regeneration project in Sele Farm, Hertford which transformed the old 1960s Ridgeway estate into a stylish neighbourhood of 120 new affordable homes for local people.

We replaced the large outdated blocks of flats with traditional streets built around attractive landscaped gardens and communal spaces. Residents were involved throughout and voted overwhelmingly for the old estate to be demolished and rebuilt.

Of the new homes, 70 are for affordable rent while 50 are for shared ownership offering local people the chance to get on the housing ladder. We’re also refurbishing an additional 14 homes built in the 1990s as part of the regeneration.

We made a film to celebrate the completion of regeneration project. Check it out below!
